Orfila, 96, born in Villadama, N.L., Mexico, on July 18, 1904, passed away on Dec. 2, 2000, in the presence of her children at her residence. She was married to James J. Orfila, who passed away on March 22, 1975. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She brought joy and laughter to all the lives that she touched and will be greatly missed and loved by all.</line><line>Mrs. Orfila was preceded in death by her parents, Anastacio and Modesta Gonzalez; brothers, Mateo Gonzalez, Enrique Gonzalez, Reynaldo Gonzalez, Federico Gonzalez, Gregorio Gonzalez; by her sisters, Alicia Karg, Minerva Fisher, Concepcion Villarreal.</line><line /><line>Mrs. Orfila is survived by sons, daughters, 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.</line><line /><line>Laredo Weekly Times July 10, 1910</line><line>Mrs James Orfila and granddaughter Angela Orfila have returned from an extended stay at New Orleans and are now on the Laguna farm with their son and father Mr John Orfila.</line>
